I love baking bread, any kind of bread but focaccia is one of my favourite to make. Anyone can bake a focaccia , it so easy. It has a crispy crust and a chewy inside and the toppings make the bread different from other bread recipe and it gives a different taste.

  • 350 ml lukewarm water
  • Salt
  • Olive oil

Ingredients for toppings

  • Sun dried tomatoes
  • Green olives
  • 3 Cloves of garlic
  • Fresh oregano
  • Sea salt flakes

Methods

  • In a standing mixer bowl add the flour, dried yeast, salt, water, and the oil. Mix until everything is well combined, and the foccacia dough is formed.
  • Mix for about 5 minutes until the dough is elastic, soft and it is not sticking to the sides of the bowl.
  • Place the dough in the oiled bowl and let it rest and proof for about 2 hours or until it is doubled in size.
  • Line a tray with baking paper and pour the dough. With the help of your hands level the dough in the tray.
  • Let proof for about 30 minutes.
