Beef kofta is a savoury treat originated from Middle East cuisine, celebrated for its robust flavours and satisfying textures. The minced beef is infused with a mixture of spices like cumin, coriander, paprika, chili flakes ,garlic and onions, then meticulously shaped into small, elongated patties and pan fried to perfection, resulting in a charred exterior and juicy, flavourful interior.
Ingredients:
- 1 Onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 700 g minced beef meat
- 1 bunch of parsley
- Cumin
- Paprika
- Chili flakes
- Coriander powder
- Salt and pepper
Ingredients for the yoghurt dressing:
- 400 g Greek yoghurt
- 1 small bunch of dill
- 1 small bunch of chives
- Salt
Methods:
- With the help of a food processor blend the onions, garlic and the parsley
- Add the minced meat in a bowl and over it pour the blended mixture.
- Add also the condiments over the meat and mix until everything is well combined.
- Marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes then start forming the beef kofta.
- In the meantime, make the yogurt dressing. Blend the herbs with the help of a food processor, pour the herb mixture over the greek yoghurt and mix until well combined. Season to taste.
- Grill the beef kofta in a pan for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side.
- Serve warm with the yoghurt dressing.
