Brownies with ricotta cheese

If you crave something sweet with a intense taste of chocolate try this brownies with ricotta cheese recipe. It is rich, moist, fudge. The ricotta cheese it’s a perfect match for the chocolate and add a fresh taste to the brownie.

Ingredients:

  • 150 g butter
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 180 g granulated sugar
  • 200 g flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teasp baking powder

Ingredients for ricotta topping:

  • 200 g ricotta cheese
  • 80 g sugar
  • 1 egg

Methods:

  • Start by melting the chocolate and the butter together. It can be done in the microwave or on a water bath.
  • Let the chocolate cool down and add the eggs , one at a time and incorporate in the mixture.
  • Mix the dry ingredients together which means the flour, salt and the baking powder.
  • At the end add the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture and whisk until everything is incorporated.
  • Make the ricotta cheese topping by mixing the cheese with sugar and eggs.
  • Use baking paper in a casserole and add the brownie mixture . With the help of a spatula level it and add the ricotta on top.
  • With a spoon take chocolate mixture from the bottom and place it on top . This way we obtain a marble aspect inside and on top of  the brownie.
  • Bake the brownie in a preheated oven at 170 Celsius for 20- 25 minutes.
  • Let the brownie cool down and cut it into squares.
  • Serve beside ice cream, coffee or tea.
