The sun is out and the nature awakens from her long winter sleep.The flowers are blossoming , the trees are taking their green coat on and we are more energised. The best way to start this festive celebration is by grilling some ribs. This recipe is so delicious it is mouth watering. The spare ribs are sweet and sticky, tender and smoky. Try it and i bet you will make this grilled pork spare ribs all summer.
Ingredients for marinade:
- 1\2 onion
- 3-4 cloves of garlic
- Salt
- 80 ml white wine
- 50 ml soya sauce
- Bay leaves
- Spare ribs
Ingredients for the glaze:
- 1 teasp mustard
- 100 ml ketchup
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Salt
- 2 tablespoon soya sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- Chilli flakes
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
Methods:
- In a big pot make the marinade for the ribs to boil in. The reason we boil the ribs is to have a shorter cooking time and to be more tender.
- Let the ribs boil for 15 minutes
- In the meantime make the glaze to coat the ribs with.
- In a bowl mix together the mustard, ketchup, sugar, minced garlic, soya sauce chilli flakes, salt and oil.
- Coat the ribs with the glaze making sure to keep a quarter of it for later
- Preheat the grill and place the bibs on the lower rack.
- Grill for 15 minutes and coat again the ribs with the remaining glaze.
- Grill again for another 15 minutes.
- Serve with pickled cucumbers, or with a salad, chillie sauce or grilled vegetables.
